An SFX Foosh pistol from Roger Spottiswoode's The 6th Day. After discovering that a clone had taken over his life, pilot Adam Gibson (Arnold Schwarzenegger) wielded his futuristic Foosh pistol while trying to stop billionaire Michael Drucker (Tony Goldwyn) from cloning more like him. Drucker and his head of security, Robert Marshall (Michael Rooker), also wielded Foosh pistols while hunting Gibson and his clone.
The high-tech, energy-emitting Foosh pistols were designed by the film's assistant art director, legendary science-fiction and fantasy artist director Ron Cobb. The 6th Day ultimately received four prestigious Saturn Award® nominations, including two for Best Science-Fiction Film and Best Special Effects.
This custom-built metal weapon originates from a crew member. Created for special effects inserts in which the pistol was fired, it is engraved "FOSS-HARVESTER" on its left side with serial number "1107" on the opposite. The gun features a switch at the back designed to activate a trigger-operated pneumatic powder-firing mechanism, as well as a textured grip inset with a gas canister. It shows evidence of wear consistent with on-set use, handling, and age, including flaking to its gunmetal black finish. Dimensions: 10" x 6.25" x 2" (25.5 cm x 16 cm x 5 cm)
