Richard Castle's (Nathan Fillion) "Writer" patch, "Captain Castle" nameplate, and "YOLO" credit card from Andrew W. Marlowe's Castle with a copy of Marvel's Richard Castle's Storm Season graphic novel autographed by Fillion. In the Season 1 episode "Always Buy Retail," mystery novelist Castle reluctantly wore his "Writer" patch while helping Det. Katherine "Kate" Beckett (Stana Katic) solve a series of ritualistic murders. Later, in the Season 6 episode "That '70s Show," Castle decorated his desk with a "Captain Castle" nameplate to confuse mafioso Harold Metzger (Jon Polito), then kept the nameplate in his loft for the remainder of the season. Finally, in the Season 8 episode "Much Ado About Murder," Castle showed his highly-exclusive, hand-crafted new "YOLO" credit card off to Beckett.
Among the most popular primetime series of its era, Castle received four Emmy® and nine People's Choice Award® nominations over the course of its eight-season run, including a win for Fillion for Favorite Crime Drama TV Actor. In 2011, Marvel and ABC partnered to release a series of tie-in graphic novels starring Castle's signature character, Derrick Storm. Richard Castle's Storm Season, the second of these graphic novels, was published October 10, 2012.
