A horned Horror mask from the "One Day at HorrorLand" episodes of Goosebumps. The two-part adaptation of the story aired as Episodes 8 and 9 of Season 3, and told the tale of the Morris family's struggle to escape from the nightmarish amusement park, HorrorLand, which was run by horned creatures known as Horrors.
Based on R. L. Stine's best-selling book series of the same name, Goosebumps was a well-received adaptation as the videos were some of the best-selling after release. Ron Stefaniuk and Alan Doucette designed the props for production, including the monsters. In addition to the two-part television adaptation, One Day at HorrorLand novel spawned a sequel novel, a spin-off novella series, an audio book, a comic book adaptation, a Milton Bradley board game, three video games (one of which featured Jeff Goldblum and Isabella Rossellini), and a large assortment of additional HorrorLand merchandise.
This lot consists of one foam latex painted brown and gray with large ears, curved goat-like horns, two small tusks on the chin, and openings in the eyes and mouth. The underside of the mask has metal snaps that would have been used to attach it to the rest of the costume. The lot shows evidence of wear consistent with on-set use, handling, and age; including paint fading as well as cracks and tears throughout the foam latex. Dimensions: 21" x 18" x 16" (53.5 cm x 45.75 cm x 40.75 cm)
Estimate: $3,000 - 6,000
