Anton Gartman's (Miles Marsico) oversized Lillian B. Womrath racing boat from Rob Minkoff's Stuart Little. Unable to reconcile with his new brother Stuart (Michael J. Fox) being a mouse, George Little (Jonathan Lipnicki) refused to go into the toy store and deflected from the conversation with his father (Hugh Laurie) by admiring a red-and-black racing boat in the window. Later, Anton Gartman (Miles Marsico) entered the boat George had admired, the Lillian B. Womwrath, into the race, decimating most of the other vessels but ultimately being outmaneuvered and defeated by Stuart.
The Lillian B. Womrath was first introduced in E. B. White's classic children's novel, Stuart Little, under the ownership of sullen 12-year-old LeRoy. The source of the uncommon ship name - a standard of White's fiction - is widely debated, with some historians attributing it to the famous Womrath's Bookshop, a popular purveyor of scale-model ships in New York during the same era in which White lived and worked there in the early 20th century.
This intricate and detailed racing boat is constructed from wood with plastic and metal detailing, as well as polyblend fabric sails. It is hand-painted with the name "Lillian B. Womrath" on the side and affixed at bottom with fan and friction gears. This boat shows evidence of cracking, loose components such as the wire rigging and bowsprit, in addition to wear consistent with on-set use, handling, and age. Dimensions: 80" x 52" x 16.5" (203.25 cm x 132 cm x 42 cm)
